Default self portrait help.

ok i was wondering if anyone could offer any ideas on something fun (like a pose) or something interesting i could do for a self portrait. It would be great if you could post images or links or even just type your ideas, that i could go off of for an idea.
Thanks for the help.

thanks!
I thought of a few fun ideas to try. the only thing will be trying to capture them.
haha expecially because i dont have a wireless shutter release remote.
anyone else have any other ideas?

edit:
also it is a pain to reset the self timer each time on my nikon d40. any one know how to make it stay on that function, so after each shot it does not go back to the regular single shot mode?

I'm in the same flickr group with candleman. I don't have a wireless remote, and I'm up to week 37.

My set is here

You can get great ideas just going to the flickr main page and typing in self portrait. There are thousands to look at.

I had the same problem with "remote mode" on my D90. It was returning to regular mode every time I stopped for a minute or two. In your menu there should be a "timers" menu that adjusts not only how long you have to get into the shot, but how long that function stays active. Good luck.

Default Wireless Remote

You don't have a wireless remote? Seriously? Your signature makes you sound like an experienced photographer, so I'm a little surprised you haven't picked up such a cheap accessory.

Anyone interested in a cheap wireless remote can go to eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices and search for "wireless remote" and your particular camera model. I bought one for my Oly E520 and it cost $3.99 with shipping included. That's a cup of coffee at Starbucks and a couple weeks wait time.
