I am shooting a 50th wedding anniversary party this weekend and many of the elderly party goers are partially or completely blind. I am not sure how to make sure to get them to look at the camera (or even if they should). I want to be as tactful as possible when I ask everyone to look at me and smile for the group shots.
I only ask because the children of the happy couple hired me and the elderly persons in question are related (aunts and uncles) and they want to get some group shots of the whole family together. I have never photographed anyone with a sight impairment before, and just looking for some help. Thanks

I have a close friend from high school who lost his sight when we were in college. I can tell you without a doubt that if you act normally and don't over-think it that the blind individuals will in fact be more attuned to where you are than many of the guests.
Mark never fails to amaze me with how much of the world he experiences that normally passes me by. Just my .02 Doug
