Default Good Examples

If I see one more picture of a guy standing on a dilapidated wall with his right foot on the wall, while looking into the distance, I think I am going to scream. I look through the streams in all my groups and it's like 1 in 1000 of men.

Is there some rule against men smiling in a photo? Or do they have to have that steely look? And the other one is that they are doing something goofy.

I'm not gay. Far from it. But can appreciate the beauty of God's creations.

Are there any photogs out there that are doing non-standard photos in men portraiture? I'm looking for something NOT gay/fetish oriented but something that really catches the spirit of the person.

Any ideas on where to look for some inspiration?

I actually just dont think guys photograph well. I've only got a few friends that can look good in photos, and both it's because they have VERY powerful personalities.

And yes, they still use the steely tough look all the time.

Men find it harder to pose smiling imo, so that's why they need to do something 'goofy' to get anything other than the steely look!

I would agree with this as well as annaV. Just wondering if there's anyone out there who specializes in it.

Its true that the "steely" look is generally how men look good in photographs but only when photographed alone.

Try capturing a moment when a father is holding his newborn for the first time. You will see what I mean.
