how not to pose your subjects
This website (clickey herey) on awkward family portraits is a great study for folks who are studying up on group posing. It shows every error and "cute" but failed group style out there! It's also fun to look at.

This is my photostream on Flickr Using pentax k200D 3 zoom/macro lenses (only 2 have autofocus), 2 50mm manual prime lenses, 3 asst wide angle lenses , 1 lens baby control freak lens with 21mm wide angle adapter. Novice DSLR user, creative interests. (google art rage)

LOL lots of funny pictures in there. Some of them aren't as funny just because the clothes and hair styles were different back then. What was awkward then is different then today, styles change as the years go on.
That one image with the suits with certain male and female appendages; I really have no idea who thought that would be a good idea.

Heh, I posted this 2 days ago in photographing people forum. Today's pic with son strangling mother, oh so casually, while sis looks down intently and maliciously, very weird photo. It's actually a good resource for budding photographers doing portraits as it shows a variety of "don'ts" and to some degree even explains why (via amusing snarking).

I haven't seen it on this site although it has been doing the rounds in various other information feeds I watch on the internet.
I have some qualms about it. Some of the pictures are funny because the set up is ludicrous (the knitted skin suits Murtasma mentioned is a prime example) but others seem to be just classing people as "ugly" and therefore "laughable". I guess that makes me a bleeding-heart liberal but I don't care...  Another question to help you learn, alongside "what is obviously wrong in the posing and set up" is "if these people were clients, how would you set up a picture that wouldn't evoke a mocking response"?
