When it comes to working with children....don't try to follow a pre determined time frame...if you take the time to let them feel relaxed with you the results will speak volumes!
Good Luck!

With all the great advice given here, I finally went to the shoot last weekend.

All the photos except the first one in the following set on flickr were taken during this shoot.

Child Portraits - a set on Flickr

Please let me know if the results are fine?

Any critique comments on are more than welcome.

I love the expressions, especially the one with the pouty lip. I'm not sure about the green monochrome one or two of them seemed to have, but I think you did a great job!

I have to agree I am not a fan of the green either but I like the shots. I am especially fond of the black and white of the little girl with her hand on her mouth. Just darling.

GeorgiaPeach, mstark70,

Thanks you so much for the kind words. The children were fun to work with. Their expressions were very natural and I had the honor of taking their shots
