Pick a close friend with a good sense of humour for your first sitting. Start with a nice outfit that covers a lot, pyjamas or a dress, and just fool around experimenting with her and learning what works. Spend a few days on it trying things and going online for more tips to try and have her help you figure out what works and what doesn't. If you pick the right friend it could be a really fun way to play with your hobby and learn, then as you work through your friends, by the time you get to the picky one you'll have a good idea what you're doing.
Most boudoir/complimentary pics I've seen seem to include some kind of soft filter or soft focus lens. I've seen tips involving smearing a light clear substance like vaseline or light oil on a clear filter (like UV) to soften the image, or tying sheer fabric like nylon stockings or cheese cloth over the lens. You can also find manufactured filters like "soft spot" which has a rippled texture over all but a circle in the center. Also work with various depths of field to find which ones are the most flattering for each friend. A friend who likes her figure would want a small aperture with high depth of field to highlight her figure, while another who is not as pleased with her figure might prefer a shallower depth of field and a shot where her body is behind her (like laying on her stomach). A woman who is proud of her cleavage would want to be shot from above and close in as a bust shot while one who is proud of her hips and waist, or legs, might want full body shots. Another might have pretty feet and her husband likes them, and might want to be shot from the feet, laying backwards and needing a very deep depth of field.
You'll want the room warm, a nice pot of tea, or if you're drinkers, good cocktails, and enough time to get cozy and easy enough to discuss what they and their men like best about them so you can highlight that feature in the pictures.
