Question Darcy tonight?

Does the yellow light bother anyone in the background? I was thinking going black and white? I needed that light on to focus on her eyes I need a darn flashlight or something lol!

I do think that it is quite distracting. I dont' think that turning it into B&W will make it any less distracting. Do you have any pp software that you could use to remove it?

It's not so much the yellow light as the stand growing out of her face that distracts. I would definitely try to clone that out and maybe go for a lndscape rather than portrait aspect. You don't really need all that bedspread below her.

Other than that it's a nice shot.

Lamp gone, much improved! I see you cropped some of the bottom of the bedspread off, I would crop it just a bit more... See where the shadow goes along the bedspread? Crop it there and see how you like it.

Love the model and the angle. I think your test shot looks better than most of my keepers

I think the photo is much improved without the lamp. I would go as far as removing most of the bedspread, so that her right eye falls on the bottom 1/3 line.

Is the lamp a different temperature of light than whatever is illuminating the main subject?

Maybe if it was fluorescent it wouldn't be as distracting to me, but just my opinion.

She is gorgeous, and its a really good picture.
however I think there is a bit much of the bed.
If it were mine, I would crop the bed off
