Smile Its Been to long!

Anyways everything Ive learned has been from this site 3 month's into I'm starting to like the results. About 3 weeks I got a vivitar 285 hv a stand and now its super fun! This is a pic of a good friend at the train station in San Diego. I know I have alot to learn but Im patient and determined! Anyways hope you like feel free to comment

That's a really great picture! I love the way you've lit it - and is that just with a single off-camera 285?

I use the "portrait" kit from Gadget Infinity - a 285 with V2s triggers, a stand and a pair of umbrellas (one white, one silver).. I've used it indoors, but so far I haven't had the nerve to get it all out in any kind of public place. I'd like to try it - I'm planning to shoot one or two local bands, and possibly some clothing made by a friend (if she can find someone she likes to model it for her) in a disused church which is managed by another friend, so it'll get used then. It's still not quite public though..

Yeah One 285 I have a shoot thru umbrella but i didnt use it. I also use those ebay triggers just until i get it down
