Thank you Jim. I like that location because of the contrast of colors in the sea wall and the water. Also the lighting it gets at sunset is pretty amazing.

Rex --

I think these are technically very good shots. Certainly, they were technically challenging.

But I am left wondering "What is the purpose of the photos?" Looking at the photos, I am left with the answer that the purpose was to get great backgrounds. Despite her apparent beauty, I am almost left with the impression that the photos would be better without the model.

In the first, most of her face is in a shadow that is dense compared to the rest of the photo. Is the photo about her beauty? IMO, no, because her beauty is obscured by the shadows. Is the photo about her clothing? IMO, no, because not much of it is shown. Is it about the setting? Sort of yes, but she's kind of in the way.

In the second, the questions and answers are about the same. I'd love to see the part of the pillar that she blocks. The clothing is black and shapeless. Plus the lighting/shadows makes the camera left side of her face appear "scrunched" relative to the right. Kind of a beauty (camera right) and beast (camera left) look.

I am indeed envious of the setting and the beauty of the model, but I don't understand what you are trying to convey with the pictures. The light is not flattering for the model, the light doesn't give any information about the clothing, and she's in blocking my view of the otherwise stellar background.

EDIT: And the horizon seems wonky in the second.
