i find myself looking for some pointers and inspiration - with Valentine's Day just around the corner - myself and a local hairdresser/makeup artist have paired up and we will be offering a mini makeover and a boudoir session at the end of it - open to any and all suggestions on lighting, posing and shot idea's -

google is your friend
![]() http://images.google.com/images?um=1...-revision&cd=1 you can also just google boudoir photographers and see what they have in their portfolios or galleries. i would try to stay away from harsh light and shadows. less can be more when it makes the viewer wonder what else is hiding in the shadows, under the covers or under the clothes.

That just reminds me of the episode of The Simpsons where Homer has some boudoir photos taken, and the photographer says "Hmmm.... Light is not your friend." before pulling the blinds down and smearing half a tub of vaseline over the lens..
Top idea though - teaming up with a hairdresser and make-up artist. There's a studio near me who offer that kind of service, and they want something absurd like £500 for the session. They must be very very good... Russ.
