Default Questions a photographer should ask a model?

Advice is very much appreciated.

A model contacted me for a one on one photo shoot. I have never done this before, but I've done a group photo shoot before. This is probably going to be a TFP job and I will probably need to bring my own MUA. Any ideas on what I should ask the model before I totally commit to this TFP shoot?

Thanks for you time.

First of all, make up artists tend to not work TF so unless you can find one that is willing I would not foot the bill for the MUA. Unless of course this is a model that you are just dying to work with and you think it will enhance your port enough to justify the expense.

Come to a written agreement about the number of photos that will be delivered, in what format, after how long, via what means, etc Determine how you are going to finalize the selects. Will the model pick her favorites? How are you going to handle that? Do you have a proofing site or some other means?

Once all of the details are handled, find out what she is trying to accomplish with the photos. What are the goals? That will help you figure out how to shoot the thing.

Hi Rentham -- Thanks for responding.
When I first did a group a model shoot, there was a MUA who did it for credits. I've work with this model before, so I know that she is worth it.

Ok -- she just message me. MUA is not needed. The theme is country style

Proofing site? ModelMayhem?

Hi ccting

My MUA charge $25 1 look; $35 2 looks; $40 3 looks does not include travel expense.
I am not really sure what determine a good MUA but the one I have in mind is great. I've worked with her before.

I mean a place where the model can see the proof images before you retouch them and deliver her final picks. You don't want to spend a ton of time retouching images that aren't going to be used.

Great idea! I've always retouched what I considered to be great then deliver them.
