Default Help - How to get photos like this?

Can anybody give me tips on how to get photos like this? I love the colors as well as the overall look, almost as if it has some sort of filter layer or something, I'm not quite sure. Is it all in the lighting or is it something to do more with post-processing? Would it be best to shoot in RAW and edit from there to achieve images similar to this? Thanks!

I don't think any external lighting was used here but I could be wrong. Couple issues I see is the person in red in the background is distracting and to a lesser extent the white sign. These should have been cloned out the picture also seems to be tilted and his head is also chopped off. I don't really think there was a ton of post processing here. Probably just a contrast boost (which caused details in the dress to be lost), saturation boost and a added some vignetting (may have been caused by the lens since it's kind of wide).

I don't think anything other than natural light was used here. Have you tried contacting the photographer to ask her? I agree the image needs to be PP'd to remove the distractions to make the image complete. Also agree with the lack of detail in the dress probably caused by being slightly overexposed as you can see details in the suit she probably metered off the dark suit.

Looking at her website, she definitely loves overexposure. Very little detail in any of her whites in all the images that I looked at.

I have not contacted her... I actually know her, so I just feel a little awkward about doing so! Thank you for the opinions though... I think I just need a lot of practice with achieving the right lighting and hopefully my pictures will come out the way I'm wanting!

I can tell you for a fact that all of the great Masters of any art did not create those masterpieces at the beginning of their careers. The hardest part of any art is learning the control of our tools. People get hung up at different stages but the difference between the Masters and us plebiscites is the Masters did not give up when confronted by failure.

Stay the course. To quote the little guy from Star Wars, "There is no try, only do or do not". Keep at it and you will be successful, but you may have to be dead before anyone will pay big money for one of your images...

Looks like a soft light layer with masking, and a slight vignette to me.
