Default Calling pro Family Photographers - Advice pls!

When you have family shots where they are sitting on the grass, do you have them sitting on anything like a mat or blanket which you clone out later or do they just have to sit on the grass?

My problem is when the shoot is early morning and the grass is still wet with the dew. The family didn't want to sit on wet grass and I hated seeing the blanket showing in the shot but battled to clone it out. Any general advice?

I do standing pics first, then have them sit at the end of the session. I've never had anyone complain about getting a bit damp at the end, and cloning out a blanket is WAY too much of a pain in the butt.

same -- if they sit in the beginning and get their pants dirty, its more post work. Do the standing shots, then sitting, then kneeling (if they knee gets dirty then they sit, you'll see it). I always ask if they are okay sitting in the grass. They've always said yes. But if they say no, then just continue doing standing stuff.

I'd provide examples, but picasa is acting up right now and isn't showing my albums.

Default Best trick when grass is wet

Not my original idea but I love it. Bring along a plastic garbage bag! I call it my 'booty protector' and keep it tightly folded and have it with me at all times. Girls totally appreciate it! I have them tuck it in once they are sitting on it and then you don't have Photoshop anything out!
