Lightbulb Help required!!!!

I have recently been asked to cover a fashion show... not veri high class but its just fine and for charity. Now, i am just a beginner. I have, Canon 500D, 50D, 30D. with lenses- 18-250, 18-135. what camera should i use? what lens? and what kind of shots are expected?

The equipment will be dictated by the environment and lighting of same. If you are allowed to get close to the runway and to use flash then any combination of the above mentioned will do and I would choose the setup that I was most comfortable with and could make changes without looking on the fly. Get there early and make test shots with whomever you can get to stand in for the models. If you can't get close or use flash then go with your fastest lens and your best high ISO body. Because you are going to need both to get the shots.

Thanks a ton jim! but how do i use lash in the fashion show... it is obviously gonna be at night so isnt the flash gonna ruin the details??? and if no, then just temme some tips how to bounce flash light in prder to get a detailed pic too.. thanks.

You need a diffuser such as lumiquest or a fong dome. Also, google joe mcnally and look at his cross armed technique for getting the flash off camera. This will give you the angular lighting which will give you the details in the image.

Just a side observation but you own 3 entry level cameras .. ever thought about selling all 3 bodies and using the money to buy a single better body that could handle a broader range of situations?
