Default Metering Mode

Which Metering mode is best when taking inside portraits. Spot.etc etc....

Say like a firefighter with his bunker gear on or a head shot etc. etc.

Thank you

I use spot, but you should try them all and see what you like.

Spot meter is good advice but you need to understand what your meter is measuring and know when to adjust from there.

+1, and good point.

I usually walk up to my subject and take a meter reading off his/her cheek, then adjust my settings to very slightly overexpose (usually +1/3 to +2/3 of a stop on my meter).
