Default 1 year old session advice

Tomorrow I have a session with a 1 year old. I haven't done many sessions with toddlers before so I'm looking for advice.

I've got 2 SB600 flashes on light stands with umbrella's. I also just picked up this soft box and a friend lent me an AlienBees B1600 light. I haven't had a chance to use the soft box or the AlienBees light yet so I will probably just stick with the SB600's and umbrella's tomorrow.

For backdrops all I have is a white and black sheet. I do have some props that I have borrowed from a friend...some cute little outfits and stuff like that.

What I'm looking for really is lighting setup help...how should I set up the 2 lights? Do I need to use both or should I just use one?

Also, which lens is best for portraits...18-55mm kit lens, 35mm f/1.8 or 70-200mm f/2.8?

Any help and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It's a while ago now and you didn't get any responses so I assume you had to make things up from your own experience. How did it go in the end?
