So Im putting together a project for review where they look at what you have done so far and may decide to help fund you a little bit to help you take that project to a larger scale.
The question i am running into is that of Color vs Black and White (hence the title) The images are all taken of people at Rest Stops along american highways. They are all candid, catching (if I am doing it right) moments of feeling at what are normally very emotionally stale places. So, which do people think are more impactful? Does it have to be one or the other, can you put together a single unified themed project with both color AND black and white images... (PS no comments on spelling or grammar, seriously it gets old.) |

It depends a lot on the pictures but have a good reason for whatever choice you make. I do think a mixture of both has to be considered; for example, you could show night time shots in colour (I am imagining them lit up by neon glow) and day time ones in monochrome and that would present a rationale for the distinction. Another choice might be monochrome for wider shots and colour as you come in close to individuals. Or, stepping beyond a simple binary choice, perhaps the set of shots from each place could be given a treatment that varies from the others, so at a glance it is obvious that each subset belongs together.
