I have a portrait session set for this coming weekend to photograph a 6mo old baby and parents at a local park, however forcast is calling for lots of rain. The parents would rather not be in their house for it's a small apt.
Any suggestions as to a good indoor location? We only have one indoor conservatory in the area and it will be closed this weekend. Where have you photographed indoors that gave potentially interesting backgrounds? Thanks Regina Maryland |

Thanks Susan. I do have a small lighting kit I use for newborn photography, but I personally prefer outdoor lighting.
I have suggested rescheduling to the client. But was hoping for suggestions.

depending how bad the weather is, you could go to a park and use blankets and toys as props under a pavilion. You may still be able to capture the outdoor lighting that way (I personally love rainy day lighting).
Of course, with a baby involved, it is a touch situation. I photographed my niece and nephew in a rainstorm last summer and got some really awesome photos, but I wouldn't expect a 6 month old to be out there splashing in the puddles. Good luck! |
