It sounds like light levels will be low so you will probably find a tripod invaluable (although that will also limit the ability to squeeze into tight spaces ... better bring a wide angle lens, too!).
A hotel room should be relatively uncluttered but do think about what is in the background of each shot. For poses, take a browse on the internet. I would suggest sketching ideas that strike you, which takes you a step towards generating your own ideas rather than copying. Wulf ps. for anyone posting images as suggestions, remember we're in the "family friendly" part of the forum here! |

Low light in a hotel room...hope it has a window and let that window be your best friend.
The widest aperture you can get. Don't be afraid to boost the ISO up to get you the needed shutter speeds to keep things sharp. Gotta get the model to open up so she looks comfortable. I'd say the best site you can study between now and the shoot is: http://www.meinmyplace.com - The most current pictures aren't that great, but look through the archives and there are some real gems. Thanks Karen and Wulf! I'm looking at the website now and I will definitely work on some sketches... I think that's a great idea.
