I'm shooting my first newborn later today and I'm wondering how many of your more creative poses end up being composite images?? I'm assuming hands and fingers are needed for support??
Also this shoot is scheduled for 7pm so I can't rely on window light. I'm using my 50mm prime but I canrt decide if I should use my flash on camera and use bounce or to use a couple of strobes off camera...... What would you all do??? |

Just did a one-month old session this weekend Flickr: Pamela Ellis' Photostream (the first two on the stream or from that session)
I used a 35mm lens, with natural light near a window....An ottoman covered with a blanket and a boppy under worked for most shots, but the hands and feet shots were great as weel as some with mom and dad holding him, take at differeant perspectives. The best was from over their shoulder. Also a couple with big sister snuggled up with him. This was a baby that was awake for about two hours, unlike a brand-new new born who would be asleep most of the time. Hope it helps. Pam
