ID Photography tips

Does anybody know about sizes of the face in the photography for visa, credentials, etc...?
And in which case use black and white or color?

I do this for a living...

Each country has a different set of requirements for visa, passport, etc photos and you should be contacting the consulate or embassy for the country in question and ask for specifically. Barring that, at least check their website: most post a list of photo requirements for ID photos of all different types.

As a last option (and really, this should be your very last option), try the PMAI Passport/Visa requirements page. You won't get the exact specifications for headsize and position, but you'll at least get print size.

Your best bet is to find a location that does this kind of thing for you. They're really not that hard to find and they'll likely have the best technology for this kind of thing. Of course, if you're going in for something non-standard (they'll have a few), your best bet is to bring in the information outlined above (usually from the embassy/consulate website).
