any ideas?

I am going out for a portrait shoot today for personal gain. It will be with a beautiful female model. i am wanting to experiment with doing something a little different with camera technique. Does any one have any neat ideas? I have a canon rebel xs, a straight 50, a 200/70 and stock lens. i also have an on camera flash.

what do you mean by "different"? If you mean new, never done before then I have no clue.
If you just want to try something new to you, then again I don't know what that might be.
But you could try using zoom blur in a dramatic portrait, ambient light behind the model
balanced by flash, etc etc.
