Default Silly Band Addict

My daughter is a little bit obsessed with Silly Bandz. She has probably 1000 of them. I want to have her deck out her arms (and fingers, yes she has silly rings too) with all of her bandz and photograph her.
I have tried a couple of different times, but I can't seem to get the posing down to display her arms as the focus. Actually I have no reference to show you what I previously done because those photos were the very few files that I lost when my computer died recently.
Any pose ideas that you can think that focus on the arms and hands, yet still show the face?

My first thought was "Vogue" by Madonna. Sure she might look like Dee Snider these days, but back in the day, that whole "using the hands/arms to frame the face" thing was the thing.

Another thing that came to mind was (you highly Christian people may want to look away here) a Virgin Mary type of pose. Shot with an overhead strobe (and maybe from above), that might make for a really interesting look.

Just $0.02 from someone who doesn't usually do posed portraits.

Maybe something like this, (but obviously without the grass partially hiding her arms)?

i dunno, the way they trade those things I'd be leaning towards a shot of a desktop with the bands poured out, her with a green bankers visor on and a loupe to her eye inspecting one of them like it was a diamond...

LOL....I hear you! I have all these great ideas before a session, then I get there and it all goes out the window.....my mind goes blank. I've started bringing cheat sheets.

That is hilarious!! I might just try this one out.
Now that you say that though, I ought to use my yearbook staff badge to get into school at recess and get a shot of the little girls trading those things. It is serious business, I'm telling ya! She has a cloth draw string bag (about the size of a Crown Royal bag, not that I ever drink alcohol or anything, just guessing on the size ) full of them that she takes to school everyday to trade. They sit out there at recess and lay out what they want to trade, bartering with each other. My older son used to do this with Pokemon cards. I guess they are out now though? At least out with him since he is almost 20 now.

i think that the biggest issue in shooting these would be that once they are on an arm, or finger, they lose what they are...

i saw a shot of someone showing off their full sleeve tattoo (full arm decked out) and it was shot with a softbox overhead, all black backgroud the subject holding arm up at about a 45degree angle and the arm as the primary subject (sorry cant find the pic to show)

just a thought
