Default How to Expose a Wedding Dress?

Hi everyone.. I'd love your input on this issue....

This weekend I photographed a TTD session and now that I see the pics I wonder what is the proper technique regarding exposure when a wedding dress is involved (or any other very white outfit).

What I did was overexposing a little bit (+2/3) metering the bride's face but it turned out that in some pics her face was fine but the dress was a bit blown out.

Should I better overexpose the dress instead of her face and then brigtnen a her face little bit in postprocessing?

Thanks a lot for your advice!

Jorge

"How to Expose a Wedding Dress?"

Properly.

You'll want to underexpose the dress a bit to keep the details in it. Being white, they tend to blow out quickly.
