Smile School Portraits

Hi, not sure if this has been answered before but I couldn't find it.

I am looking at trying group portraits such as school portraits or sporting teams.

I am wanting to know any tips for cropping the images so the heads are all the same size.

Thank you in advance for your help .

ok, i will make an assumption that you are photo merging a bunch of individual images into one... I would either pick one face and use it as the standard and scale the other images to match (width ear to ear) or create a line/bar/circle whatever and us it as the reference point to resize the individual images. The erase/remove the reference point. I am going to bet that you may still need to tweak one or more of the images even after you have them all married up size wise.

I am sure that there are programs designed for making prints such as this, but I recently did our elementary school yearbook. Each grade level had a page similar to this. I just made a psd layered template in photoshop and used that to make each page. I made ONE shape that was the size that I wanted each individual photo to be, then duplicated it, moved it, lined them all up. Once I got the template done, the pages were a piece of cake.
But like I said, I am sure there are plenty of programs out there that do this automatically.
