Default HELP! How to pose the non posed photo

I have a photo shoot coming up on Thursday it was just booked a few days ago. It's with my boss at my full time job. She has stressed to me time and time again before she booked that she does not like "posed" photos. I am so nervous about this shoot as I don't know what to do!

In the photo:
Grandmother about 80?
Mom (my boss) 60
Daughter 30
Grandbaby 7 months

Place: Outdoors somewhere.

I would appreciate any advice!

I say take advantage of the baby! The biggest challenge will probably be grandma if she's not able to get down on baby's level, tho. But I envision them all at baby's level & enjoying each other & interacting & loving on baby. There could also be some fun shots of baby taking steps while holding onto someone's hands. Be sure to catch some sweet moments with baby & grandma. There's something timeless about photos where long life & new life are blended.
But I would also ask your boss to think of some photos she really likes so you can get some inspiration & get a feeling of what they want. I recently had my first shoot with a family I didn't know and asked what type of photos she was drawn to. I took photos similar to what she liked, and basically just followed them around, snapping every sweet moment/interaction there was. Good luck!

Got to agree with this completely. I have done a few shoots with new baby's, toddlers and their families.

I usually take them to a park area with big open spaces and nice background features. Simply just ask them to simply entertain the little one and the rest will usually come quite easily to be honest.

Just make sure that you stand back enough so that the child is not distracted by you as this potentially could ruin the shot. If your lens has IS, switch it on and shoot hand-held at all times. Do not stay stationary and move around them as well as different heights and angles.
