HUGE group shot

hey, i will be taking a team photo of 200 kids (swimmers). it will be outside -weather permitting!!! what lens would you shoot with? i have a nikon d-200 and nikon d40. lens 70-200 which wont work, 10-55mm . maybe taking a ladder to stand on!!! any suggestions appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

otherwise rent a 14mm L - oops NIKON - 12-24mm F4

hey, hope and pray for good weather or we will be inside the pool and lighting is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how i get myself into these things!!!

You may want to set up some flash units regardless.

200 kids - you have some risers or stairs that could put them on? Otherwise you are going to need to get above them..like on a big ladder or maybe from the top of the diving board! You could do a panorama and stitch pictures but printing and framing will be a challenge.

You may want to consider doing something like this. It's a fun way to get a lot of people in one picture.
