Default Taking some cap and gown photos, need some tips

Like the title says. I am taking a few peoples cap and gown photos soon. I was wondering if anyone had any tips.
I will do the standard formal holding the diploma type photos, but I also wanna take some unique, unformal, fun photos. If anyone has any tips, or ideas, they would be greatly appriciated. Share the wisdom!

You could always try for the ol' "throwin' the cap" photo.

Default Graduation ideas....

The key when taking photographs in the moment of celebration or remembrance is not only to capture the obvious subjects, but their personalities also. Without being there to know what you are working with…..the answers to this question become complicated. So before I continue on and head in a direction unhelpful…..give me some information on the following:
Is this an indoor or outdoor event, or both?
How many people are being photographed?
Are they long time friends?
How many females vs. males?
I’m guessing this is a high school graduation and not college.
Answer these few questions and I will be able to give you some unique ideas.

Sorry it took so long to reply.
It was just in studio individual shots of the students in their cap and gowns. Kind of like school photos, but in a cap and gown.
