Portraits on railroads

Have they been over done?
I wanted to shoot my 3 youngest nephews on railroad tracks and graffiti backgrounds.
I think its a great idea, but i see them everywhere!
Everyone and their mama has taken one!

IMHO if you like it then shoot it! Because even if it has been overdone, (and just about any good pose has!) if it is something that you and the parents of the children will treasure then don't let that stop you!

Be careful though, RR tracks are private property, and if it is a live track, it becomes a liability issue. There is a thread from a few months ago around here somewhere about it.

thanks for the replies and thanks for the link, Luke. it was very very informative. And of course i would never put anyone especially my own nephews (ages 4-7) in any sort of danger, i was specifically thinking about the trolley tracks at our city park that pass by every 40 to 50 minutes. Even though its just a trolley track, im now rethinking the whole thing.
