I am taking photos of a dear friend who is getting married in 2 weeks. The Husband to be has a 6yr Daughter that we would like to include in the shot to mark the blending of this new family...any suggestions on must have shots to mark this occasion? I was thinking about the 2 adults with child in the middle all holding hand, shot of all 3 hands, and the 2 adults stangin and kissing with the child sitting under looking up at them ...
Thanks in advance |

I think you are on the right track but keep thinking. There have to be a hundred different ways to do something really clever with the three of them. Still, I would emphasize the love between the couple and include the child in a way shows she approves of the relationship.
You mention a shot with the couple kissing and the child looking up at them. I think I would have the child looking straight into the camera, having fun. (Doesn't every six year old girl want to play 'model'?) The fact that she is having fun while the couple kisses implies her approval. See what I mean? I would also take some where the child is the star and the couple is almost an afterthought. The idea being to go back and forth between the child and the couple; you are bound to find just the right combination in there somewhere.

Maybe have the little girl up front giving a thumbs up while the couple is blurred in the bg kissing and then vice versa (girl in front blurred, couple in focus in the bg kissing)
