Default Photoshoot suggestions please

Hiya there,

I'm having a beach photo-shoot of a couple, friend from work and his wife, she just wanted a few classic portraits...on the other side, for the price of having a few decent pics to send to her parents, she agreed to a go wild in the other part of the session.

I have a few ideas which we will probably do, I'll list them below, but also would like you to help me out, if possible, with your creative ideas for props and scenarios. Please, have in mind that in a few days I am moving to another continent and am not in a mood to purchase expensive or big props, but dirt cheap and DIY stuff is OK.

My ideas so far:
  • He lays on the grund with sandmarks obviously saying he was run over with their truck while she is running towards him from the mentioned truck (driverside door open), shot from the ground up towards his face with tyre marks allover; will shoot with small F number and slightly blurred truck and her;
  • He is her trophy, laying on the sand with half a lemon in his mouth while she sits/stands on him with a weapon prop (depends what we find)

He is a BIIIIIG HUGE Schwarzenegger-build guy, she is petite Asian, so I think this contrast will definitely work.

I will give credit to the person who comes up with the idea I use on my gallery (soon to be modified so it allows text to be displayed below the photos) and be forever in debt to the girl/guy.....

Thank you all,

Rasho

Lighting will be your best friend or worst enemy. The best lighting for beach shots is about ten minutes before the sun sets, and for about ten minutes after it sets. That means you have twenty minutes to do all these shots. Setting up the truck shot will take at least five minutes with several more minutes gobbled up in the actual shoot, the trophy shot will take less time but you are going to be rushed. I would do it on consecutive days that way you will have 40 minutes of shooting time. Fisrt day the traditional stuff and the second day the fun and crazy stuff.

Thanks Benji, I appreciate it.

Yeah, agree for the light tip there, unfortunately I am only available 10am-4pm, so "golden hours" are out of reach...and I mentioned beach since it's a convenient and "crowd free" location we can use, not because I want to go for the beach shots.

We are definitely doing the trophy shot since I remembered that the guy is actually the nunchaku instructor, so using them will be the perfect irony. My idea is to gel my strobes yellow for warmer shots since I cannot count for a nice weather day here in Tokyo at this time of the year. Maybe if we're lucky, most likely it'll be overcast cloudy, so strobes is the way to go..

Any other funny scenario you can think off? Thanks, I appreciate it a lot...
