One of my friends wanted to recreate this famous Wyeth print she has hanging over her bed, so this was our little attempt. I have waaaayyy too many from this shoot--turning ambient lights on and off, playing with shutter speed to change ambient/strobe balance, moving lights around, having just the dog, adding her, etc. But this is one of my favorites. The cool part is that the picture itself represents what is the window in the picture. We had so much fun making this picture...and had quite a few beers while we were at it

Nice shot. I'd like to see it in black and white.

Thank you both.
![]() I do like the black and white. I think a little of the warmth from the wood tones and the wall lamp are lost, though.

Looks like that would have a been a blast to shoot. TFS. Both are great, but I love the B&W.

Thanks all for the comments, much appreciated! I think your opinions have swayed mine, haha, I'm starting to like the B&W more.
I desatured the color in the color version to sort of match the desaturated look of the Wyeth painting... I wonder if maybe it would just look better normally saturated. Maybe desaturating it made Chel (the girl) look too ghostly? I'm also starting to think that the incandescent wall lamp gave a weird color cast a bit on the wall to the right, too... I'll have to play with the file some more when I'm home from work. Just not sure if I screwed up the color version or if it's just plain better in black and white!
