Default a hug and a kiss

hello!

took this hastily as i was afraid they will leave as i was takin the shot, so i just increased the iso to get enough light...to cut it short (lol) the pic came out of course as quite grainy; i really love the dynamics between mom and her child so to "save" the pic, i tweaked the sharpness as to make it look (i hope) that the grainy feel is intended; a sort of old fashioned pic perhaps?

please do tell how else i can salvage ermm improve it

Camera: Canon PowerShot SX110 IS
Exposure: 0.025 sec (1/40)
Aperture: f/3.5
Focal Length: 16.1 mm
ISO Speed: 1600
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

thank you in advance!

I'm not fond of the grain but thats just a matter of opinion.
One thing you might try. Since you commented on the interaction between the two is too focus on that more. Her feet are all ready cut out of the photo so you may as well crop is in even closer. Maybe to her hip to focuse more on the people
