Default SOOC - or does it need a tweek?

Hi,

this is a shot I'm really proud of. It does pick up some critique for the difference in skin tones between the hand and the face; for the narrow DoF; and I've had a few saying it's over-processed!
It is straight out of camera - the joys of my new 50mm1.4.

However do you feel it would benefit from a tweek, and if so what?
lol, obviously can't tweek the DoF,

Beautiful shot! I think I would sharpen the eyes just a touch, they seem a tad soft to me. I might brighten it a little, also. But small tweaks, for sure as it is a great pic as is!

lovely image and nice as it is. I wouldn't say it's not good. But perhaps a "tad little" contrast..?. It does distinguish the b/g and kinds add some depth.

I'd definitely sharpen it. The focus is a lttle soft esp. the eyes.

Very cute, and great for being SOOC! As the previous posters have said, I'd sharpen it just a tad, too. Not too much though. Add a little contrast too to make it pop a bit more, and try cropping it so she's not dead center.

Well done!

Perhaps you could tone down the red in the cheeks and fingers, but I know that would be a major pain to edit . Can't add to what's already suggested. Love SusanH's idea about a different crop. This is one gorgeous photo!

It looks as tho'the focus fell on her hand, but her eyes are so mesmorizing I had to look closer to see why the eyes were a bit soft. If you choose to sharpen, I would do it selectively, (not on her hand) Maybe even soften her hand up a bit with PPing...
