Default Light From A Laptop

This is my first posting of a photo I've taken here on DPS. The story on this photo is, I was walking by daughter in the family room and noticed she had all the lights off and was looking at her laptop. The laptop was the only light being emitted in the whole room and it was lighting up her face, I though this was the perfect opportunity to test out my new 50mm 1.8 lens. Since it was spur of the moment I ran and grabbed my D90 and was only able to take 7 shots because she was not in the mood to have her picture taken at that moment. (but I managed to make her crack a smile.) The only PP I did was some sharpening and clicked on the auto color in Picasa

Can I have some feedback on the exposure, composition, and anything else you would do differently. Thanks.

Model: Nikon D90
ISO: 500
Exposure: 1/10 sec.
Aperture: 1.8
Focal Length: 50mm
Flash Used: No

Interesting composition but I think I would crop it so her face is in the upper right third of the screen.

I think it turned out really cool, but I agree with the crop suggestions above.

Agreed with both posters about the crop, and for some reason to me, this just screams black and white to me....I'd love to see a conversion! The color is fun, but the monitor colors throw funky casts on her skin. I

I like the way it turned out and the only color is the pink in her cheeks. Nice job!

Actually, there's a lot of green and yellow in her skin other than the pink in her cheeks.

I kinda like the effect of the reds and greens on her face...then again I know from your description that she is looking at a laptop. I might feel differently if I didn't know that, but I like the funkiness of the colors for this shot.
