I love this photo but I do think you could use a makeup tool or something to take the (food?) off of his face on the right above the eye. unless you where wanting to get that? Other than that I love this photo. Might have been able to use a little more light but I think it is great

HAHA!! You noticed that nasty squash on the side of his face??!! Thanks!! I had planned on fixin' that up some when I get to the PP part!! Before that, though, I was curious about the other aspects of the picture...

Thanks for the comments!!

Yeah, my camera seems to have a hard time with artificial lights in my house...but I'll see what Photoshop can do to fix the white balance.

Thanks.

I have the same challenge in my home (which is often dark, and the camera has a hard time compensating). I might recommend (a) shoot the shot as is and then make it slightly less "warm" in photoshop, or (b) shoot with a flash, but try using an index card to bounce the flash away from the baby's face. Nothing worse than a washed out face on an otherwise cute pic. If you don't want to mess with the index card, you can set your flash exposure to be toned down a bit and then use the flash without completely blowing out his face. Really cute kid, though. And keep the squash. Why not?

Cute picture...cute kid. I didn't notice the food on the face...I did notice the white balance being a little off. I shoot in raw which allows me to fix it later if I don't nail it during the shoot. Then in Lightroom it's easy to fix.
Have fun!
