I was really hoping for a crisper image, but finally gave up. Any suggestions?

The main light was way too low. Shadows should run down not up. There is no receiving area. Your torso should have been to camera right a bunch and there should be more room above your head. Turning the torso away from the camera about 20 degrees or so will help make these type of image less static. The face of course is then brought back to the same position it is in now.
In your defense it is difficult to see what you are doing in front of the camera when you are not behind it!!! Benji |
