Default First Post-Kayla

This was my first effort at taking portrait while not on auto. I was on aperature priority at a local state park. I think her face was not as clear as I would have liked. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The composition is good (rule of thirds). The hat looks blown out a little. I would recommend underexposing a bit to bring the hat back into exposure and use a fill flash (or reflector) to put the light back onto the face.

The other thing you might consider is dropping the ISO down a little to help with the overall color and grain. The shutter speed was a bit high for only using a focal length of 70mm. Bringing the ISO down would have lowered the shutter speed and also given you more overall detail in the image.
