Default still learning advise always welcome

I am just now getting into photography and always looking for advise on how to take better pics! I took this pic of my wife on a recent trip to Tellico Mountians.

Love the wind swept look and her expression. Don't like the dark shadows under her eyes (known as "raccoon eyes" in the industry) or the fact that she slumped over a bit.

I agree; the darkness around the eyes is a teeny bit distracting. But, other than that, great shot!

If you have Photoshop, just get out the "dodge" tool and set the range to midtones, exposer to about 15% and just airbrush under the eyes a bit and that'll lighten it up.

Love her pose and expression! I'm with the other posters regarding the dark shadows under her eyes, though. She also looks a bit underexposed to me and the focus seems soft.

Beautiful young lady!

She is very pretty and the pose is great. However, I feel like it is a little underexposed and too gray.....but I like high contrast so you can take my opinion with a grain of salt!

I also think it's a bit underexposed and a bit "flat." A bit of brightening and a contrast boost and it's exceptional. I also took the liberty of dodging around her eyes and sharpening the irises a little bit. Let me know if I went too far (before and after attached).

Okay I like the second one better. I do like the pose though it looks like it brings out her personality. She looks care free and comfortable.
