Yeah, I hate to be an echo but this looks great!
Quick notes / nitpicks: - the Nikon D300 does an ISO speed of 266? that's so weird... ![]() - for "the sun is getting low," a shutter speed of 1/3200 is blazingly fast! I don't know how that got pulled off, but fantastic. - the shadows cast by her hand don't bother me at all. - if I had to pick something that bothered me it would be the deepening to black in the upper right, but on a scale of 1 to 10 it bothers me about 0.5, so take that as you will. I really think this is a great shot—both great lighting and capture of expression. Well done!

Wow, thanks everyone, I guess I'll leave it alone.
I don't quite understand the ISO of 266 but I think the camera took over and set it since I was shooting in AP. I haven't had the camera very long so I'm still learning all it's features! The sun was still a bit bright even though it was getting low. That's why I shot my daughter with her eyes closed because she kept squinting. That explains the fast shutter speed. |

The lighting is positively yummy, LOL! GREAT job with that.
I love the idea of this...my only nitpick is the dead center composition. If you'd shot it from a bit lower, her eyes would have been on the rule of thirds and her arm wouldn't have been chopped, which would have given the photo a bit more interest. Other than that, I think it's wonderful. Those lashes!!! |

Love it!!!! The detail is awesome; especially with the eyelashes. Very creative...
