Default Next Portrait Critique Needed Please

I was going through some shots I took the other day and I found this one of my oldest daughter at the park. Is the composition good and does the tree present a distraction from her? Also it looks like I may have a bit of over exposure.

Wizziewoo, sure you can. I appreciate all of the feedback from everyone. I am here to share and learn. If you can work with it, it'd be great.

ok, I gave it a shot. obviously, the quality of the photo is low, since i just copied and pasted it, but I think it'll give some ideas. Mainly what I di was rotate them a little, crop them a little closer, and covert to B&W on one and lower the blue tones on the color photo. Hope they give you some ideas!

I think the cropping helps a lot. I don't have a lot to add, but she is a cutie!

Thanks All for the feed back. It's amazing what you can do in PP. Looks like I need to put in some effort there as well.

Thankfully, my kids are very willing subjects. At 4 and 2 they think the camera is neat. You should see my 4 year old compose pics with my point & shoot. She's really good.

Dumb question, but if I don't ask, I wont know. What is "Lr"?

From hitting the exposure and color correctly, how did I do? I am trying really hard to stick almost exclusively to Manual mode and really learn my camera.

Thanks again for the feed back and Happy New Year!

Sorry for the abbreviation, Lr stands for Lightroom, a photo ediiting program similar to Photoshop.
Overall, you did good for someone who isn't quite used to shooting in manual yet,
Keep up the good work.
