Default My Billy Elliot..

This is a picture I took last year in Cornwall, I call it my Billy Elliot shot for obvious reasons.

Of all the pictures I've taken of my son this is one I'm most proud of, to me I wouldn't change much about this shot but that is my point of view and I'd love to hear what other people think!

It was taken with a Canon 20D, F/4.5, 1/1000, ISO 200 with my Tamron 28-75mm 2.8

All opionions are welcome.

Thank you.

Jonathan

Jonathan,
love it, love it, love it.

Arent kids the best for fun, honest, candid shots?!

The only thing I would do is brighten it just a bit in a post-processor..maybe just him...Otherwise, congrats on such a beautiful capture.

Diane

I love the composition of this! I hope you don't mind, I had a play. In CS2 I duplicated the layer, changed it to screen left the opacity at 100%. Then I erased the sky back in, bumped the saturation of blue a bit, and the overall saturation a bit too. I also bumped the contrast a touch. If you'd rather I didn't, please let me know and I'll take it right down!

I adore this shot, it is absolutely adorable! You are fully correct to love it just how it is, it's amazing.

If I would change just one thing (that's not to say that you should!) I would bump up fill light just a bit on the foreground and the boy. But that's it.

This shot definitely captures an awesome moment in time. I'd brighten the image and bump the contrast a bit, and maybe add a touch of saturation to bring out the colors.

Ditto what daddyoproductions said. I wouldn't mind seeing more detail in the clouds but that obviously isn't the focus of the picture. Beautiful job.

Yeah, I saw that too..super fast edit, when I erased the sky back in I didn't zoom in and go for much detail. Was just trying to give an idea....glad you like my edit though, thanks!
