Unhappy Shadow shadow shadow!!

Hey everyone! Below is a picture I took last week at 9am in the morning .. on a rather gloomy and cloudy day. My friend wanted some pictures taken with his brothers. They printed out some of these pictures already and intended to give them to their parents today as a Christmas present.

For this specific shot...
Do you think the shadow on the left bottom person's chin is too distracting? I used two flashes that day, one on the picture's left and one on the right. The one on the picture's left did not have a defuser on. Do you think that could've been the reason for the shadow on the chin? Or any guesses as to how that happened?

And lastly, how do you think of the picture as a whole, I wasn't sure how to pose them. Any suggestions on that? Do you think all black shirts made the picture look too color-less?

Below are a couple more pictures from the day. If you guys have extra time, I would love for any feedbacks on those as well. THANK YOU and happy holidays, everyone!!

I think if you took the doge tool in photoshop to the shadows on his chin you would be ok, i think the black shirts work, maybe coloured shirts would've added more punch to the picture but black is a good solid colour for their shirts. Now, for IMG_6393a it's fun and cute with the kid lying across the brothers (or whoever they are) but it looks like the picture is crooked if you look at the top bar of the benches, IMG_6435b is a little stiff and awkward for me, they kinda look like like soildiers and the last one is good. I hope this helped.

I like the shot, and I like the black shirts, and the arrangement.

The only things that bother me are the tree growing out of the one guy's head and the two cut off feet.

I really like the posing and color in #6446. Hope that's the one they gave to their parents

Depending on where the flash was placed, the shadow on the boy's face could be from his shoulder (can you see how his shirt is slightly puckered up?).

I like the impact of the black shirts and the horizontal rails in the background. I agree with amberskies, watch what lands in your way background. The tall tree is distracting. I don't mind the cropped feet, however.

Maybe a bit more sharpening for crispness?

I used the clone stamp on the tree to get rid of it and tried some levels and curves on the pic.

Wow thank you everyone!
I loved how you were able to take away the tree and everything still looks so natural!
Gotta learn more about photoshop and post processing.

Again, thank you!! Truly appreciate it.
