Default Lighting and PP

I'd like opinions please on the general feel of the lighting in this shot and whether any PP is obvious. I won't mention which PP, if any , as that would defeat the object of this post

It's a great photo but I'd like to see a little more contrast perhaps. Seems like the face and the background are in the same tone and makes it apprear a little flat. Does that make sense? This is just my 2 cents worth and I am not a professional.

I think you have it Bekkie, it does need more contrast to lift it

Very nice portrait, just a touch more contrast should do the trick, lighting looks very good. As for post processing I can't tell anything was done which should be the point.

Nicely done.

Many thanks to everyone for the comments and good advice, I went back to Lightroom and raised the contrast and found the gentleman really popped out from the background. I'll bare this in mind for future shots.
Thanks again folks.

For anyone wondering about PP I converted to grayscale, added a little vignette and used the Lightroom adjustment brush to brighten the eyes slightly. Guess I did quite well if people didn't notice it.
