I know my face kind looks ackward, but it was like negitive three degrees out haha. I actually was suprised with how this one came out, but im not sure if it lloks bad becuse I had no flash difuser, any suggestion?

What to say to that...
Softbox can be made easily. You need: tracing paper, sticky tape, paper used for cards (harder), scissors and a little bit imagination how to put this all together and stick it onto the camera :-)

Photo... I am not a fan of shots taken from above... It makes look of the person submissive and not equal to the viewer. I would try another angle, so there is more of the background, that let us see, that there are really 3 feet of snow :-)
This one is ... normal... I am not a pro, but this one seems to me similar to billion other self portraits. It has no originality. It has no drama (missing snow). It has a overexposed part (The face). It is simply not a good shot for me.

Try to re-take this photo, but in other way. Softbox is not the right way (but can be used to get it better). Another angle and composition is the way to improve.
