Photographing kids really interests me and I took this photograph of this nephew of mine. I would like to know your views on the composition. I had wished for the picture to be a little more sharp but I guess I did not pay attention to steadying my hands as my nephew was about to bolt I call the snap "Not me!!!" as he really did not want to be photographed

I'm not a pro or close to it, can't give you anything technical, but I love the shot. Hat is more sharply focused than the face, but that seems okay to me: face is still sharply defined in profile and has a nice softness. And I like the kid at one edge just about to take off into the space on the right. The colors are eye-catching and the lighting/mood very comfortable.

I find the colors a bit distracting and too bright. You might try desaturating it a bit, or just going black and white like this.

Otherwise I like the crop and exposure.

I really like the composition, it is different and interesting.....it's too bad the focus fell on his hat rather thn his face, but like u said it can be hard when they move so quick!
