This is my son and I love using him as practice. I use a Rebel XS. I'm wondering if what I did in post production is too much or if you look at the photo and think it is good. Thanks!

A little too much green and yellow in it for me, and I'm not a big fan of heavy vignetting. Also be careful of hand and foot chops. Adorable baby!

Very handsome fella!
To me, Just at a glance: it's very very soft. Babies are already soft, I like to see them -in this instance- a little crisper.( unlike taking a photo of a 40 yo woman- you'd get killed for showing detail like; age lines etc-lol.
The lighting could be a little too direct and harsh- I see a shadow there- you might want to use a cheap diffuser or a reflector of some sort.
The design over his head is a little distracting.
If I was serious about portraiture I'd try to get these things right bu,t as it stands; I'm all instinct & talk:-)

WB looks a little off, and I would brighten it up and sharpen it as well. But that's just me, I'm a big fan of bright, crisp pictures! Very cute little guy, though, and I like the mood!

Default More like this?

So less editing is better on this one? I was trying to go for an artisticy feel, but here it is normal.

Much better! The colors look better now, and my eyes go right to his. Before, my eyes kept wanting to go to the vignette.
