Default Too dark?

I took this portrait and I really liked the shadows and the colour of the light. Is this too dark??

I agree about more fill light on the shadow side. However, what I find more disturbing than that is the ugly shadow cast by his eyeglass lens on the side of nose and under his cheek. I personally would change the lighting to eliminate that shadow.

Imagine if you had just turned your head 15-20 degrees to 'my' left...there would be more of the dark eye in view and you'd have a great X Files shot.
