It would seem the saturation has been pushed a tad too hard on this one.

Also, I would have cropped the face tight to remove the most of the surrounds

Thanks so much for the feedback. Much appreciated. Have made some changes but think I got the sharpening a bit wrong. Am quite new to the image manipulation bit.

Hi

I hope you don't mind but I edited your image and am re-posting my quick edit for you. I used Adobe PS CS4. All I did was use the same crop you used in your pp attempt. Then, I used a cooling filter on the image and did a selective sharpen on the eyes. Let me know and I'll take it down if you want.
