I am an amature, But I LOVE taking pictures. and I find people the most interesting to shoot. Here is one of my favorites. What areas do I need to improve on? I want to do Wedding/ Senior/ Children/ ect... but as a freelance.

The "under the chin looking up her nostrils" look is different but never used by professionals because is is not flattering at all to the young lady. In portrait photography it is all about flattering the subject by emphasizing her good features and downplaying her negative ones.

Nice light, natural colors, but the pose needs to be different. There are several posing tutorials on this site that have helped me immensely! Good luck and keep shooting!

Looks like you had good exposue and overall the photo isnt bad. But I am going to have to second what someone else said. Its not a flattering pose. I personally never do shots where the person can look down at me, a more flatter pose would be looking from above her. Keep up the work and post more when you have them.
